hi there
i need some help
what colour should i choose for my splashback in my new kitchen the units are high gloss cream with a cream granite with a mirror effect an oak wooden floor with a stainless steel rangemaster and fridge

what about a stainless steel panel - i've got one behind my stainless steel range, oak floor and wooden cream cabinets, black and blue granite - it looks lovely

Cream metro tiles? (like bricks)

it sounds very sleek. you could go with a glass splashback - you can go for clear if you are painting the walls a colour or you can get coloured glass for the splashback.

personally i'd paint the walls a colour and go for clear glass splashback as then you aren't restricted by colour. when it comes to redecorating - take off, repaint wall, put splashback back up, new look kitchen.

hmmm thanks for the replies. i did think metro cream tiles to begin with then i saw the coloured splashbacks and liked those too !! the cafe au lait colour would be the safe option but maybe boring ??? the sage green is nice and the whisper blue ( kinda very light duck egg blue ) worried i might get fed up with them thou ??? help

We have metro tiles in our bathroom and look amazing. I'm also trying to decide about our kitchen. I've ruled out glass splash backs as I think they look "too" trendy whereas tiles are more classic IMO. What style kitchen is yours? Classic/trendy/modern?

Could you just paint the walls with egghsell paint rather than tiling them?
Perhaps just have a steel splashback behind the range?
Looks a bit simpler/fresher IMO but might not be what you were after?
