What does it mean if a property is on a confidential property register?

Just browsing through Rightmove, and came across this. Not seen it before and just wondering what it meant. Does anyone know?

Sellers who don't want their property details openly advertised like maybe folk in the public eye would be on this. The estate agent would contact potential buyers that they have on their database and let them know about the property. I guess it's to make sure buyers are serious instead of having loads of folk arranging a viewing to have a nosey about a famous person's mansion Grin

Ah ok, thanks. Makes sense when you put it like that, but last night all I could think was what was the point of putting your property on Rightmove if you didn't want anyone to look at it!

Are you going to tell us which property it is? Grin

Sorry- I must be misunderstanding- it doesn't appear to say anywhere on that listing 'confidential' IYSWIM.

I'm guessing it's a golfer's house! Grin

Sorry Cancant, I linked to wrong page. It's the fourth one down on above page.

Ah, I see now Grin

All very odd.

Surely anyone in the public eye would have minions to sort out house sales for them?
