Right, my family own an estate, farming, property, sporting interests etc. I do not work on the estate. I have friends who up until last year were employed by my family but have since been made redundant but still rent the house they are in. This house was on the farm we used to farm, since then the farm has been rented to a tenant (he also has another farm) so nearby houses (3 terraced) are now 'theirs' for their farm workers whereas property that friend has is still 'ours'. Friend is having huge problems with neighbours, unsociable, loud etc tried environmental healt, not interetsed, need good argument to take to landlords, i.e. my family.

Who is the landlord of the house your friend lives in? Is the tenancy agreement between your family (even if it is call fivegomad estate).

If so they just need to complain to them, they don't need a good argument, just the facts.

Your family then should take it up with their tenants in the other houses, which if I'm reading this right will be xyz farmer who sublets to his farm workers.

He should then in turn address the issue with his tenants.

Thats how it should work, although I appreciate that in complicated set ups it needed to be tactful and not upset the applecart.

What is it that you/your friend wants to happen? Is it just to get the other neighbours in line and less noise etc?

If so, I would suggest they start by going to see whoever is responsible for the house (office staff perhaps?) and have a chat to explain about what is going on. Hopefully they will contact the farmer etc.

Thank you will pass that on to her. Yes family are still her landlords, farmers let out other properties.
