covering a concrete path?

Our front path is plain concrete and we want to tart it up without spending much. We don't want paint as it will peel and look terrible. Anyone know of a DIY version of resin bound gravel? Or something else nice and very thin?

We had our concrete covered with tar then gravel on top. It was done by builders (needed hot tar), but was cheap. It's very thin - the tar glues a single layer of gravel onto the concrete. It looks just like normal gravel, but doesn't move.

Concrete actually quite easy to take up. You could to that and replace with gravel?
