Moving to Linton (Cambridgeshire)

We've just put in an application on a rented house in Linton. DH works in Linton and we've decided to pay the higher Linton rents rather than the ever-increasing petrol cost of commuting. Does anyone have anything to say about the area that I might have missed? Does anyone know of anything good going on for mums and toddlers?

Thanks Ladies

The Linton village website has lots of information. There's a brand new Surestart (?) centre which must be about to open ... next to the Library. There seem to be several toddler type activities available - look under "Activities for Children and Young People" and "Education". No personal experience as my DCs are beyond school age now. You might want to post on the Cambridge Local forum on MN for more information.

There's lots going on in Linton - several toddler groups, story time at the library, rhythm and rhyme at the united reform church, ducks to feed down by the church, the zoo, to name a few. Also worth having a look at the book festival which happens in early May. There are lots of things to do, but worth booking now if you can as they get booked up quickly. Schools are really good too. Wish I lived in Linton!
