Try throwing everything out..including people. Who has a real family and has so much clean white??

PrettyCupcake · 31/03/2012 00:30

carpets have a beige hue to them though,
I already have totally white bedding (except for kids rooms)

It's the sofa, from Habitat.

NewHouse · 31/03/2012 00:30

That is four years old! Shabby chich!

QZ · 31/03/2012 00:30

erk- that should read 'Scala sofa'...

TheFarSide · 31/03/2012 00:31

I like the natural colour scheme, and it looks clean yet comfortable.

PrettyCupcake · 31/03/2012 00:31

I know, I was trawling house prices in areas I would like to live Grin

The light from the shutters in the living room and symetry probably appeal, colours are easy on the eye. I love the dining chairs and table.

PrettyCupcake · 31/03/2012 00:37

may be that is it, it is stylish but gentle

the table by the front door is called a butlers tray table (I think), available in lots of places.

pic 21 - the black wallpaper is by Laura Ashley, looks like Erin...

That house was owned by someone very into interiors or a professional, even the lighting for the pictures is styled. look at the door picture and symetry there, again in bedroom, very well thought out.

MadameChinLegs · 31/03/2012 00:45

It's decorated like a holiday home, rather than an actual home.

May I suggest www.notonthehighstreet.com as your first por of call when trying to copy the look.

PrettyCupcake · 31/03/2012 00:45

oh god, if I try to emulate it will I look a bit aldi to her harvey nics?

The plantation shutters throughout the house are lovely, but they're very expensive to fit.

The ikea daybed I think is called minnen btw... here

Oh it's luvverly isn't it? To have a house like that I would have to remove my 3 dc and the dog. There are no personal bits at all are there? Just gorgeous furniture.

The general clutter we have is kids toys and homework. Without those my house would be amazing.

It's all very soft, neutral and textileyisn't it? We have a lot of wooden floors - perhaps I need more beige fluffy rugs?
