Replacing Wardrobe Doors - anyone done it?

We have an old(ish) fashioned fitted wardrobe along one wall of our bedroom fitted by previous owners that looks a bit dated. Has anyone changed the doors on a fitted wardrobe before, who did you get to do it?

We got a quote from one of the big firm, slide robes, was about £2000 for some new doors Shock

Also anyone know if it can be done if the middle bit of the fitted wardrobe is drawers, rather than wardrobe bit with doors?

TIA

Get a quote from a local joiner. We got ours replaced with standard interior doors and a bit of extra wood to infil. Was about £300 I think.

I've just done my own

Doors were second hand from ebay. Perfect condition.

My doors were from Stanley range at B&Q. Measure and check what track you have. If you have the same track just buy new doors.

Fitting a new track is no major task tbh. measure, cut (hacksaw) and then screw to floor and ceiling. The old track is probably attached to a joist so the tricky bits (finding joist) have been done for you.
