Anyone used Space Bags???

Am moving house in a couple of weeks and wondering about getting some space bags for stuff that will go straight into the loft - winter clothes, duvets etc.

Has anyone used them that could give recommendations of the best ones to go for? Mixed reviews on Argos and Amazon and don't want to waste time ordering/returning when I could be packing!!

Thanks

They are mostly crap, re-inflating after a few uses and difficult to get stuff in because the opening isn't big enough. However, llakeland do some great ones which are the bag inside a canvas zip up box which holds it all in once you've sucked out the air. They are quite pricey - I thInk about £18-£20 but they do work so much better.

You can get cheaper versions at Argos. I got a few of those and they work fine but you can only put so much in them (the Argos ones don't use vacuum, you just roll them up to let the air out). I think you are better off going to the pound shop and get those massive storage bags made of rice paper. I find those very handy for bulky but light items like duvets, extra pillows and cushions.

Thanks all! I like the look of the Lakeland one so will probably order that for ongoing storage as well as using it for moving.

Never thought of checking the pound shops, so that will be my first stop tomorrow Grin

Just so you know, I got 17 adult winter coats of varying size in a Lakeland bag, the pile was about 4 foot high and it all shrunk to fit on application of the vacuum Smile.

Omg, that's a lot of coats Wink
