Broken Patio Doors - Help - any idea?

We have moved into a house that has patio doors leadig out from dining room and living room. The house was previously rented and some twit has locked the right hand doors (the one with the fake handle you open second after unlocking) with the little lever thing you flip down to bolt it into the frame - but then broken off the little metal flip spoon-like thing you need to flick up to unbolt it!

Does anyone have any idea what I am on about? How can I find out where they come from or someone to unbolt and fix them? The house was built in 2003 and the glass and plastic have serial numbers on that say 2002.

Would a locksmith come out and sort it?

I would say a window and door company would be your best bet. Even just call them fOr advice?

thankyou - well as this was bugging me so much - I have just had an elctricain round to put a new plug in kitchen as is only place fridge/freezer currently in garage since we moved in will fit - need both doors open to get it in the bloody kitchen! - I found a name on the lock - MILA. I phoned them and they suggested a locksmith. I googled a local locksmith who said it is a common issue, they ae coming round on wednesday to unbolt them and replace the locking strip which is knackered. Hod knows how much it will cost but at least we will be a step closer to having the firdge/freezer in the kitchen (long, painful story).

What's the betting the fridge will break down just as they unlock the doors?

Thanks for the advice.
