£1700 to repair some floorboards, replacing some with ones we have already, prepare for sanding, sanding of three bedrooms and a small landing, wax seal floor and fit primed edging strip around each room.
The rooms are smallish.

Don't know, but recently came across a fab website which might? Google "the building sherriff". Loads of standard costings for common jobs.

Heswall · 25/03/2012 19:46

Honestly you could do a lot of that yourself, it's not difficult at all.

NickettyNacketty · 25/03/2012 22:24

Hi, back again.
Yes I know we could a lot of it ourselves but when, when? We need it dealt with in the next six weeks and DP has worked late every night last week. Hence the quote for someone else to do it.
Will check out the website thanks.

Clearly it is a good quote if you WANT it done in that time frame.

If that includes all labour & materials.

You could do it yourself though. Grin

Stop it!Grin 'clearly' an ok quote? So it does sound reasonable? Have had a look at the building sherriff site. It's great! But if local tradesmen just charge more........ Jeez I hate all of this bit.
