Will strand woven bamboo flooring shrink as solid oak would?

Trying to decide on floor for kitchen diner and going round in circles! Units are cream shaker with oak worktop....

no, it is very stable. Bamboo flooring is the only common one suitable for bathrooms and kitchens where it is likely to get damp. Pets water bowls are a great source of warped floors.

"Engineered" flooring also does not shrink and expand perceptibly with humidity changes, because it is basically a form of plywood.

Ah great thanks! That leaves me to decide between Bamboo and engineered wood.....

I have strand woven ('natural' colour) bamboo. It's fabulous. I got it on a MN recommendation.
