Leaving present for tenants?

My tenants have been brilliant and are sadly leaving after about 6 or 7 years with us. I would like to give them a leaving present for their new home but am not sure what would be appropriate..I was thinking a £20 or £30 M&S voucher and bottle of wine?? Or would that not be appropriate? Thanks

That's nice of you. I'd give them a bottle of good champagne, because I don't really like the monetary aspect of giving vouchers, if that makes sense.

Thats very nice, and not inappropriate at all. When you have had a good relationship with anybody (work colleagues etc) its common to give a leaving gift so I can see no reason not to give them one.

Agree a voucher and wine would be best bet too. Smile

How lovely! Actually I think vouchers would be spot on and say that they're for their new home.

Thanks for the thoughts! They are not well off and are moving to a ropey council place (as it's near their child's school) so I will go with the vouchers. They were great tenants but I was nice too as I never put the rent up ;-)

We had our first tenants move into our first property last week and we gave them flowers and wine and a welcome to your new home card.
I felt it was a nice way to welcome them and get a good LL?tenant relationship going and would probably buy them a moving on gift too. However we are LL virgins and once burnt may not do it to all tenants!
