Basically after everything has been done and were just waiting for our buyers mortgage offer (survey etc complete) our venders have had a far higher offer.

They have kindly given us until next friday to exchange or they go with their new buyers.

I could cry

I feel you pain!! Was gazumped two weeks ago and the house of my dream by the sellers for no reason whatsoever except that they can. At least yours have given you warning.

Don't know what to say but very sorry that you are in this situation. Very unfair but some people are just greedy

buggyRunner · 01/03/2012 17:24

the new buyers are a trustfund- so we cant compete!

we put in a cheeky offer on a different place as a reaction (wont be accepted but house of r dreams so thought it was worth a shot)

Levantine · 01/03/2012 17:48

flipping heck - gazumping's back Shock

whereabouts are you?

lifeistooshort · 01/03/2012 17:57

Hampshire for me. You would think that in the current climate, people would be a bit more conservative and not play mind games but no...

Levantine · 01/03/2012 18:00

But did they not take it off the market once they had accepted your offer? You poor thing, sounds awful

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/03/2012 15:28

We were viewing a house this weekend, they have had an offer put in today and can we go round to view it now? err no. If they want it they can have it.

It suits the estate agents because they get more commission.

It ought to be illegal.

buggyRunner · 04/03/2012 08:53

I am just hoping that a miracle happens and our buyers can exchange on Friday. We have no other houses we like- dp refuses to discuss things until after Friday as it may all work out.

It took us ages to find somewhere- had to be immaculate, not on an estate, 4 bed.

I need kirsty and phil

Hi Buggyrunner no fortunately we hadn't stumped any cash. When they accepted our offer, we did ask that they took it off the market and they were quite fuzzy about it. I guess it was their intention all along.

How did it go for you? Any developments?

buggyRunner · 06/03/2012 18:31

Well no developments- our buyer has his mortgage offer - waiting for a copy should arrive tomorrow so it could happen.

The thing is- I think our venders could take the higher offer anyway. I mean I think they gave us the deadline of Friday thinking we wouldn't achieve it

OP posts:
buggyRunner · 08/03/2012 09:38

Still waiting and deadline is tomorrow. Sad my hope is dwindling

have you heard anything from your cheeky offer on dream home?

Sometimes, these things are meant to be, sounds annoying now, but you will be in a great position, if you've already sold and are in rented.

buggyRunner · 08/03/2012 10:16

Dream home want more than we can afford- at least we tried though

OP posts:
Levantine · 08/03/2012 11:08

Sorry to hear that Sad.

buggyRunner · 08/03/2012 18:22
