Checkatrade Beware continuation: I contacted this company for help with an issue I had experienced with one of their memebers. They stated they they could not help me as it was time barred! I contacted Capital Plumbing & Heating whist the snow was on the ground as I had no heating a few rads were luke warm it was just me and my 9 year old son at home. They said they had never come across a problem they could not fix! The engineer they sent out incorrectly diagnosed the problem as a blockage (although the system had already been flushed)and funny enough when they put inthe chemicals and left me freezing for another 2 weeks it DID NOT WORK STILL!When this was realised they were offered the chance to come back and rectify. I was offered the services of their Head Engineer (I found out later the Director of the Company Mr Dean Croft)to come out and review. This was never honored and I therefore (still nearly 2 months later with no heating) sought the services of another engineer who came out & fixed the Diverter valve approximately £260 including servie and parts. He was brilliant B waller and Son. Capital Plumbing DECIDED TO TAKE ME TO COURT as I have not paid their unreasonable charges of nearly £500 before VAT, they want to charge £90 plus VAT for an engineer arriving at my property where they couldn't gain access as I was at work they did not make a prior appointment! I would not use or recommend their services

u stand up to them op, let them take u to court they will have to prove there unreasonable charges. u do not necessarilly need a solicitor u can do this yourself. a judge would be simpethetic to u if u have no legal assisstance so dont worry, cheeky company, so many rip off companies these days around taking advantage its a disgrace. they are probably just bluffing hoping u will back down and pay. court is not a daunting experience, as some may think.
