Help me make the damn bookcase hang

its got holes then slots to hook over the screws

I've drilled the holes. The are The Exact right distance apart

I can get one side to hook over. The other will not

Ive made marks on the front so can alighn it. I've tried peering around the edge

The bastard thing just won't hook over both screws

did you manage it?

I find pushing in the middle of the back panel helps :)

maybe the screw heads need to come out a bit.

if you put a bit of lipstick on the screwhead that won't fit, it will leave a smudge mark where it touches the other bracket.

Or you can use Engineers Blue if you haven't got any lipstick.

you mean something like this?

what shape are the screwheads? countersunk? or round-headed?

and how big is the head compared to the hole, and the slot?
