Kitchen advice

We think we have decided on a kitchen and like the Howden's Tewkesbury one in white or Benchmarx Eden (both look similar) with a real oak surface. However, other costs are mounting e.g. need new floor (joists rotting), new windows etc. so we may need a cheaper (non wood) option for our kitchen. Does anyone have the Burford kitchen from Howdens in white or cream with wood surfaces or wood effect laminate? Am really confused as have been dreaming of wooden kitchen but now worried it is too expensive and that wooden worksurfaces may not be possible to keep in condition!

Really don't know what I want now!!! Any ideas??? How about the 'grey' colour kitchens, love the look of these but unsure as would effect how we could decorate rest of room.

We've just gone for the Burford Grey range from Howdens. The units are all in but not the appliances yet but I'm really pleased with how it's looking and the quality of the units. We spent a little bit on the worktop as went for white quartz but I think a lot of options as worktops would work well. I was also worried about going for a 'colour' unit but in actual fact it's pretty neutral but just different enough for me. Handles wise we went for the more contemporary option if you look on the website. We've painted the walls 'Timeless' which is a Dulux off white colour and have a walnut effect flooring.
Our tv area is off the kitchen so I've thought about accessorising with a bright blue eg. on cushions etc but reckon that your options are still quite open.
As I say though, we're not quite done yet so can offer you a better opinion when it's finished!
Good luck though, it's really daunting making all the decisions and having a tight budget holding you back but will be worth it in the end (or that's what I keep telling myself!)

Your kitchen sounds lovely, especially the white quartz worktop! Though that would add even more on to our budget!!!! I am thinking about changing to this colour. Decisions, decisions!!! We also have a TV area off the kitchen. We are going to do a small breakfast bar separating the areas using the curved units at the end, have you done that?

We've got an island unit with the sink in it as the shape of our kitchen lent itself to an island rather than a breakfast bar. We looked in to having the curved units at both ends as I think they look lovely but the curved units themselves were more expensive than the standard ones and didn't hold as much stuff. For me getting the most storage has been key!
