The Sleeproom - good quality?

I've been hankering after a bed from here for a while and almost clicked 'buy' today but then read some negative reviews.

Can I ask - does anyone have a bed from this company and what did you make of the quality?

Thank you!

Have also been thinking about getting one of their beds - where did you read the negative reviews?

I also recently looked at www.sofa.com for similar beds - there are lots of reviews on the site and they seem to get (almost suspiciously Wink) high ratings for the beds.

The Review Centre.

The bad ones seem quite bad and the good ones always seem to plug a product: 'I bought the Darcy and its perfect' which always makes me suspicious.

But then, I've just searched some more and found this website which seems almost universally good.

I need a 'real' person to tell me their experience (I hope The Sleeproom haven't infiltrated Mumsnet).

We bought a bed from this place about a year ago and have been very happy with it. The customer service and delivery were also very good. That's boring isn't it? Bad reviews are so much more interesting.

Yes I am keen to know as well. I came across them a few weeks ago too and have my heart set on one of the beds there. From the reviews it appears that their after sale service is terrible and majority of the buyers have a problem with their mattresses rather than beds.

Just finished dealing with them today. Customer service was not the best but not the worst. Bought the mimosa headboard from clearance. Beautiful quality even though it was much cheaper than brand new one. Screws were missing but they posted them to us as soon as we called them. Also ordered the Antoinette in king size. It was too big for the room and they exchanged it for the double within a week and told us we could continue to use the king. Double arrived last week but we noticed a chunk had been sliced off the footboard and there was colour incOnsistency in the headboard. Called them the next day and they exchanged it again. Despite these problems, the bed is well made and way cheaper than other company selling French beds. The delivery company is excellent - always polite, call 30 mins before, and friendly. I viewed the beds in the showroom before buying. Was not impressed how they dealt with the payment side of - no receipt, email confirmation or paperwork. Sometimes nobody answered the phone. Overall, good products, good delivery company, problems handled well. Would I recommend sleeproom? Yes. Customer service is not universally crap.

Have bought 3 beds for 2 different places. All delivered fine. Beds are lovely.

Thank you for sharing your experiences. Sh77 - Do they put the bed together for you or do we have to do it ourselves - as you mentioned something about the screws missing? We are not really DIYers!!

Yes, they assemble it for you and take away the packaging.
