Any tips on how to fix already cut screw holes?

I...ahem...screwed the wheels on dc's brand new toy tractor, noticed a bit was missing, unscrewed them and now of course the screws won't bite cos I've cut through the plastic. I can't get into the piece to put a washer on the other side, it's all molded. I was rather hoping to fix it before DH gets home and rolls his eyes.
Any ideas?

Slightly bigger screws? Or maybe a rawlplug if you can get one into the hole?

Rawlplug is a good idea, larger screws might just cock things up even more!
