Falling over toys and crap and need more living space. Had originally thought putting a conservatory on the back of the house but don't like the look of most of them and we need to have a room that is usable all year round. We also need lots of windows as otherwise the existing lounge will get even darker. So we've sort of decided we need an orangery (or whatever its called). Just in the initial stages of looking for ideas and I thought someone may have some good tips.

I know we need underfloor heating to keep it warm. I think I saw something about special glass which will stop it from getting too warm in the summer. Is that right? What about ventilation? Thinking of getting bifold doors although I think they may be £££.

What else do we need to factor in to make it a useable room. We have to decide whether we want a wood one or uPVC (DH and I have differing opinions on this). Is there a major price difference between the two?

Any recommendations for companies would be good too. We would rather spend more and get it right, not intending to move in the near future and it would add value (although I suspect not as much as it will cost).
