Is it yours...?

ThompsonTwins · 26/01/2012 16:09

No, Edith. I just found it startling. I would not have the vision to see beyond what is a very particular taste in decor.

Phew! No, too hard work to look at it

GlaikitFizzog · 26/01/2012 16:14

Not for that price! But I know the area and it is very nice. If you take away all the crap stylish adornments, all the walls are fairly neutrally painted and the carpets look alright. Are you looking in the area TT? Do I know you ?

wahwahwah · 26/01/2012 16:14

I think it may need a little work on the interiors. On the plus front, it would be a blank canvas...

thisisyesterday · 26/01/2012 16:15

yeah i would if it was a good price for the area.
once all their crap is out it's basically just a normal house. only the kitchen i'd want to change.

Hullygully · 26/01/2012 16:18

FABULOUS!

It's like one of those houses Lawrence LB used ot do and then the owners would come home and cry.

lisaro · 26/01/2012 16:18

The red and back! My eyes! The pinky lounge is different.

GlaikitFizzog · 26/01/2012 16:21

valued for mortgage purposes at £430k, I think they'd be lucky to get £400 for it although Aberdeen is in the Oil Bubble when it comes to housing prices. Maybe if they decluttered they'd get more interest. I'm surprised AC&Co didn't make them. They sold my flat for me and the girl taking the photos rearranged my studio flat and added in matching accessories Confused!

wahwahwah · 26/01/2012 16:21

Someone will come along and love love love it.

VivaLeBeaver · 26/01/2012 16:25

Yes, I don't love it at all but its in good condition. Take all the furniture, stuff out, lick of paint and get rid of the kitchen carpet and it would be fine.

Its nice to see a house where someone has done it how they want it though, even if not to my taste. Certainly can't say its boring.

sherbetpips · 26/01/2012 16:32

if the price was right for the area. Decor never bothers me as I would always want to re-decorate to my own taste. Their taste is however DREADFUL!
I do wonder if there are people out their who move into houses and change nothing.....

noddyholder · 26/01/2012 16:33

No The decor is horrific.

Agincourt · 26/01/2012 16:34

I can't afford it :o

nenevomito · 26/01/2012 16:43

Wow. Not keen on having cuddly toys on my toilet lid, but it takes all sorts.

Methe · 26/01/2012 16:51

I think that's the ugliest interior I've ever seen.

member · 26/01/2012 17:07

Not unless I was going to have loads of money left over to redecorate/carpet/get rid of peach sanitaryware & replace unit doors in kitchen.

Do you think they're moving because they've run out of rooms to theme?

AgnesBligg · 26/01/2012 18:46

Kind of expect Carole Smiley to pop up in some pics.

AllPastYears · 26/01/2012 19:40

Well it's all, er, co-ordinated Grin. Never seen a silver room before!

goingtoofast · 26/01/2012 19:43

My 10 year old loves it! I would paint the whole lot neutral!

Breitling · 26/01/2012 19:46

absolutely pmsl at the decor

Firawla · 26/01/2012 19:55

don't think it would be that hard to redecorate and neutralise, and looks like a good sized house so i think its okay although the current decoration is awful! i could see past it if i was looking for a house in that area i think

sodapops · 26/01/2012 19:56

It's made my eyes go all funny!

jalopy · 26/01/2012 20:10

It needs a bit of livening up.

notcitrus · 26/01/2012 20:14

Hard to see if they've done a good job, but if so the decor isn't too bad - if you have fairly neutral furniture it could work well and be quite cheerful.
Which might be good with Aberdeen weather.

Shocked at the price though as that's the same for 5-beds as where I am in south London!
