Oven, cooker advice please! Anyone gone through this recently?

Just starting our new kitchen search.

Onto oven, cooker or whatever it is (first google!).

So, we'd like 90cm, 5 hob, either all gas or dual. I'd like a Range style cooker, but don't really want to spend the prices. Are the cheaper brands crap? Probably don't really want to spend more than £800 to £1,000.

Or do we go for a built in oven? But they are much smaller and I do really want enough space, as it's a bug bear with my current oven.

Are there any built in ovens that offer a bit more space?

it might sound oldfashioned but you could just go for a 60cm freestanding cooker. You would get two decent sized ovens and four big burners. We have ordered this Stoves one for our kitchen and it was under £700.

I fussed and fussed over the decision because the 90cm version somehow looks so much more contemporary, but we simply would have not had room without sacrificing other space.

We've bought a 'Stoves' range style cooker in stainless steel - they are not as expensive as other makes but get equally good reviews. It has been excellent (got it November)

If you go through Idealo it's a good way to check the best deals too.

thanks fossil. tbh there is a 90cm freestanding one there already, so the kitchen manages the size of it fine (although it's got one cavity for both grill and oven which i can't stand and very old / shelves broken and wonky), but it needs replacing with the kitchen.
