Plain English Kitchens, what paint colours do they use, does anyone know or want to guess?

And I'm going for a similar look, I think. Does anyone know what colour this is or which colours Plain English use?

It looks close to oval room blue, is it do you think?

No, I think Oval Room blue looks too greeny. Maybe Lulworth Blue? (Kitchen picture colour is quite light in top right where not in shadow)

Looks like they've used paint from the Paint and Paper Library in this kitchen.

Colour on the back wall/back cabinets looks like Celestial Blue by Little Greene Co.

I think the colour on the island is a different colour.

PS from a bit of a google it looks like they use all sorts of different paint companies. Not much help to you, sorry!

We did exactly that, Alphafemale, about 9 years ago. I fell in love with a Plain English kitchen but with no hope of affording it, that was the next best thing. We paited our cupboards ourselves (F&B bone) and they're still looking pretty good after all this time.

I think it is stone blue. I am sat looking at my stone blue wall in my office and it looks just like those cupboards. Also if you are in striking distance of west London/Surrey I know a man who makes kitchens 'just like' plain english for a decent price.

If memory serves me correctly I thought they used Farrow & Ball paints and am sure that when I was looking at a Plain English kitchen they told me the F&B colour it was.
I did get them out to do a design but then went to a local company and had them make a very similar product for a quarter of the price.To paint it he used a fantastic paint by Beckers called Elegant Aqua Lackfarg 10 but had it colour matched to a F&B colour.Also a tip I was given was to have it hand painted instead of sprayed as you are therefore able to touch up any wear and tear(we do this about once a year)

My vedroom is oval room blue an it's much bluer than that. But not at all greeny if that helps

From memory, our cabinets and worktop cost in the region of £6000 - we painted them ourselves and sourced our own appliances and cabinet handles. The drawers certainly don't have 'dovetail' joints like the Plain English ones do, but it was a very good compromise for us.

You may also want to have a look at handmade kitchens direct . They DO have dovetail drawers and very reasonable. Also completely bespoke sizes (eg our drawers will be 740mm wide in order to get the next cupboard to be centred under a window)
