What type of sink is this??

Hi Ladies,

Bit of an odd question - I am looking to replace my sink but don't know what type this is - can you help??

I don't know that particular one, but there is an "Asterite Bistro" that has the same design of running from wall to front with no worktop underneath it. I'm saving up for one myself as it is fairly expensive. It has square corners and appears to be thicker steel than most sinks.

It's a standard lay-on roll front contract sink, not obvious exactly what size, they come in 500 and 600 deep.

e.g.

here and scroll down to the Contract sinks LC106RF, etc.

Other manufacturers do similar versions of it and as PJ has linked, there are some more refined lay-on sinks available from Franke, Ikea and Astracast (and if loaded, Blanco) depending on whether you are going for the site-cabin look or not.

We need a whole new kitchen...but thats a couple of years away. So for now going to do a quick make over - thought it might be easier just to change the sink unit - but depends on how much it costs might do the worktops too.
