Bungalow for elderly couple downsizing from ridiculously large family house in the country. No major mobility issues but not in the best of health. Must have garden. Less than a mile from me.

I don't think so. They could just ignore the 2 beds upstairs unless DB and his family came to stay. Then it's just the 2 beds and 2 reception rooms. Current garden is 3 acres and mostly on a steep slope so this would be a doddle.

But eventually, maybe. I just know they wouldn't go for a little box in a town. Just not them.

It does look nice. Our garden is on a steep slope too so a smaller flat garden would seem lovely after that.
