What do you ladies think about this?

We have been living in a rented house for a few years and some of our furniture including a big sofa has been in long term storage for all of that time. We had understood that this was a secure personalised container - so, how I end up getting someone elses sofa delivered to me and my sofa and a few other things not being there I don't know (we have the sofa cushions)...

I am fairly annoyed with this - I have no idea how or if they will be able to locate my sofa - what would you do?

Have you questioned them?

My DH spoke to someone yesterday and they were going to "investigate"

did the storage have some kind of insurance aspect to it i would have thought it should? check any paperwork from when you put your stuff in there

We did have insurance - but I don't feel as if I should be resorting to claiming on this - they didn't deliver the "secure" personalised storage which they claimed to be doing? Otherwise, how have I got someone elses sofa in my "container and some of my things are elsewhere>?

I would be very annoyed indeed! I agree you should not have to claim on your insurance, they should claim on theirs.

Let them investigate and get back to you. It may well be an error, and you'll get your things back. Do not be pessimistic yet.

If they cannot find your things then you'll have insurance through them as part of the contract, surely?

Still a big annoying hassly nuisance though.

I'd retreat to my secure personalised container and wish the world away.
