Selling our house. We couldn't find the certificate for the gas boiler service from September.
Last week buyers solicitors insisted we have it serviced again, we agreed and they put the following clause in the contract (exchanged on Friday)
The Sellers agree to arrange a gas service by a suitably qualified engineer at their own cost prior to completion, and to provide a copy of the gas service document to the Buyers solicitors. It is agreed that if the gas service document indicates that any repairs are required to the central heating system the Sellers will meet the cost of the said works. This clause will not merge on completion so far as it remains to be performed.
The earliest we could book the service for was this evening which we told them.
They asked to complete tomorrow, we agreed.
Bloody f-ing gas engineer hasn't turned up. What the hell happens now. We're still willing to go ahead tomorrow and pay for the cost of the service once the buyers are in but is the buyer solicitors really going to delay completion over a boiler service??
Seriously stressed
