What does it mean when a property is marked 'Not Marketed'?

Does anyone know what 'Not Marketed' means when it appears on a property's details? The estate agent is publishing the details of the property and a price, so surely it is being marketed Confused

It means that the property might be sold subject to contract, under offer or withdrawn from the market for the current time. It can also mean that the particular estate agent is no longer marketing the property as the seller has chosen another agent to go with. To conclude, it means that the property is no longer available to purchase via that agent.

I thought it meant that it wouldn't be advertised in newspapers or by for sale board outside?

I guess it could mean that too. The best thing for OP to do is to call the agent and ask if the property is available.

Thanks.
