Heritage grey kitchen, creamy walls .... what colour tiles?

I know a few of you on MN have this kitchen, ours has just been fitted and we love it, also love the off white creamy walls and oak floor, but stumped with tiles. DH wants cream, i think we need a bit of colour or the whole room could look bland.
any ideas?

We have this kitchen and we put pale greyish tiles down, which actually brings out the more greeny side of the units - as they're not really that grey (actually they painted with F&B French Grey, which is more on the green shades of their paint chart). We've "jazzed" it up with dark red island lights, dark red sofa and the splashback will be clear glass with something red/French Grey behind it - still to find or design the ideal thing. I agree it could look bland (we have cream walls too) without the red splashes of colour. We have a combination of Kashmir White granite and oak worktops and put it all together it looks very "gentle" and pretty but I don't think (!) it's dull.
