Help me find a sideboard like this one only proper wood

I like this one as it's kind of classic without being twiddly but I'd prefer one in proper wood, it's not quite the right colour and I'm not a particular Ikea fan anyway.

here

Have spent hours looking for something similar either in white or unpainted that I could paint myself but am drawing a blank.

If it came down to it, do you think I could paint the Ikea one? It's "fibreboard" (assuming that's mdf) and it's has that kind of plasticy finish so I'm not sure.

Thisisyesterday I've had daily alerts from eBay for months but nothing's been "the one" yet.

3littlefrogs they're nice but just not quite right.

I am very fussy, I know!

Have you thought about finding someone to build you one?

TheHoHoHouseofMirth · 05/12/2011 10:05

Have thought about it but I'm assuming bespoke furniture is pricey and I doubt we'd have the budget for it.

Jali? You can design your own

WhatsWrongWithYou · 05/12/2011 10:15

Scumble Goosie have one similar but smaller, but they do bespoke so you could order the size you want.

It has a French/Gustavian look, and I'm sure there's a few other sites worth looming at. Will have a browse.

TheHoHoHouseofMirth · 05/12/2011 10:27

I've been Googling Gustavian but without huge success WWWY.

Just come back to this. No, I haven't used them, but I have been searching for a particular type of wardrobe, and they were one of the companies I considered.
