Moving into new home

Just got our offer accepted for a property in Kingston. Our first home in the UK! Very nervous about moving and settling into the new home as we have two young children and there seem to be so much to do. Would like some advice for the following:

  1. We are renting and need to give 2 months notice. On the house front, we just started paper work so will take about 2 months to complete. Thinking about having 2 weeks overlapping time to get the house ready - buy furniture, fridge, hob etc, is that reasonable?
  2. Is it worthwhile to have built-in closet or better to buy wardrobe (considering resale value in the future...) Can anyone recommend a good company for built-in wardrobe?
  3. Any good contractor in Kingston for painting job, minor repair, fitting curtains, assembly furniture, etc?
  4. Good stores to buy all the kitchen white goods (can't believe these don't come with the house)?
  5. Is it possible to move Super King size bed into a 3 story town house? Or is it safer to buy a King size bed instead?
  6. Good nursery near Kingston hospital, Bleignham Gardens area?
