Any big hits in your bathrooms?

Thinking of a sort of mid blue but not sure which one. Love Lulworth Blue but I have got that in another room so not that.
Happy to consider other brands but want that F&B soothing type look. Is to go with vintage style bathroom with claw footed bath and floorboards.

Isn't blue a bit cold?

What about a sort of moss green which you could then boost with dark red or deep orange towels?

Pale powder in my bathroom, lovely soothing chalky green with just a dot of black in it to give a grey tinge.

PaintchartHeaven · 03/12/2011 13:12

That really pale grey one (Lamp something?) is lovely with white bathroom suites.

daveywarbeck · 03/12/2011 13:13

Can I hijack? I want a grey for the bathroom but I don't like the square of French Grey I have painted on the wall at all. It's almost green.

PaintchartHeaven · 03/12/2011 13:15

Blackened, it's called.

PaintchartHeaven · 03/12/2011 13:15

Blackened is quite a pure grey I think, but does look a bit bluey in some lights.

MarshaBrady · 03/12/2011 13:26

Pale powder is good.

mamijacacalys · 03/12/2011 19:15

Another vote for Pale Powder.
Am very much liking Blackened for forthcoming bedroom project and agree with Paintchart re it being a pure grey.

legohousebuilder · 03/12/2011 21:07

Thanks so far. Will go and check out blackened on the chart...

davey Light Grey is gorgeous,... but it's definitely a warm grey.
Have you tried Hardwicke white? that's quite a cool grey.
Lego My bedroom is Dix blue and it's a beautiful colour, really intense. BUT it is in a south facing room with a bank of windows, so can take it. I think any other aspect would be very cold

hester · 03/12/2011 23:01

i'm always bigging up Blackened. It is a lovely soft grey that goes blue in some lights. it is VERY cool, though - I have it in the bedroom, warmed up with heather-coloured curtains and bedspread.

OP sorry for busting onto your thread - thank you for the suggestions. Will order sample pots from F&B site as our B&Q never seems to have much beyond Dorset Cream and Pointing on the shelves.

legohousebuilder · 04/12/2011 14:10

Am going to check out Fired Earth too thiS pm as look promising...

have you looked at Little Greene Paint company they do a lovely grey called French Grey which comes in 4 shades a friend gave me a tip paint some on A4 paper and move it around room during day to see what its like .

legohousebuilder · 04/12/2011 21:18

Hi yes I've one of their paints elsewhere in the house but couldn't see anything I liked. Will take a look at their website though as my paint chart is old so they might have new colours I'm missing.
