Sandstone vs Limestone patio

Does anyone have any experience of sandstone or limestone patios? I had opted for sandstone, but have heard it is quite easy to stain (would be sawn, so a smooth finish). I just received a sample of limestone that looks amazing, but can't find much information on how easy it is to maintain.

We have a sandstone one; it looks nice and I haven't noticed a problem with staining. I would try to see a sample of it laid. Some of the new Indian sandstone can look a bit like patchwork, while others look really mellow. We chose one that was slightly more expensive but more muted. I don't know anything about limestone, but think it is a more uniform colour.
