Tile Crazing - Fired Earth

SeasonsGripings · 29/11/2011 13:41

I've had some tiles from the Architecture range in Fired Earth fitted in my shower room a few months back. The tiles are now forming fine lines, they almost look like someone has drawn on the tiles with a pencil. Fired Earth are saying this is a feature of the tile - no mention of this feature on their literature because I didn't want it and had I known I would have choosen tiles which didn't craze.

Is crazing a normal feature of a tile - I have never seen it in tiles that are only 2 months old.

Bloody hell, I've just read through Fired Earth's installation guide - apparently fine cracks on any tile are are not seen as a fault and it's up to you to seal the tile to protect it - I was supposed to be getting a sealed tile - really regretting going for "quality" tiles now, Fired Earth are a shifty lot.

The tiles look a mess, we were going for a modern contemporary look. Sad
