alternatives to vertical blinds for a patio door

looking for a way to get some coverage for a large patio door with full length windows on either side before i decide on curtains

I've not had much sucess in the past making voile curtains look tidy and the only other thing I can thing of is vertical blinds - but I find them a bit office like. Any ideas what else i can do? (The whole thing is about 2.4m in total)

We have curtains over ours, but heavier-duty than voile. In previous house we never bothered! Roman blinds would be less office-like, or just rollers? Maybe have a look at conservatory blinds to get an idea?
