American Fridge Freezers - How do they get them through the front door?

Our fridge freezer (inherited from previous house owner) is giving up and we were going to order another when we thought 'how on earth can we get it out of the kitchen and front door?'. Our doors are a standard width (approx 73cm)Does anyone have any experience of this and/or know a reputable retailer that would be willing to take doors off or whatever is necessary? They must have got it in somehow originally!

DS did deliveries for John Lewis during his gap year. American fridge freezers were always a big problem. On one occasion they had to remove not only the door to the kitchen, but also the door frame, part of the wall and re-route the electrics in order to get it into the brand new kitchen just before Christmas. John Lewis didn't do all that work but the delivery crew waited whilst the builder undid his work!
