Freeholder holding up sale

Hello! Just posting on the off chance anyone has any tips. We are selling our leasehold flat and buying a repossessed house. As it is a repo we get 28 days to do all conveyancing and exchange contracts. This is up on 7th December. The freeholder of our flat is holding everything up as has not responded to a (hand delivered) letter from our solicitor asking her for bits of info and asking for a bill for us for our ground rent and insurance costs as we haven't heard from her since we moved in 2.5 years ago.
Anyone got any experience of this? Would you write to her too? We have letters from when we moved in which detail her solicitors and a relation of hers who appears on the lease documents sometimes..should we write to all three? I don't want to harrass her but I don't want to lose this house either...

Also tempted to knock on her door, she lives a short drive away, is this a bad idea?

Write, harrass, knock on her door... do whatever it takes. She has a responsibility to respond to the enquiries so chase her up any way you can.

Yes, do whatever you need to. You aren't harrassing her. You just need her to get a move on ...
