I had a layer of scree put down on my concrete floor and then karndean laid and have been really pleased. So hard wearing. No experience of wood I'm afraid

another vote for Karndean here. (no wood so can't comment)

if you get it done by a proper fitter it is guaranteed but if you do it yourself it isn't

we have bamboo over concrete and wood (and the join) love it

I have had wood and karndean and would opt for Karndean if you have kids. Our wooden floor was lovely though, until someone walked all over it in heels!

I have a Karndean type product over concrete and it is fab. With a ds with severe ASD and a labrador I needed something strong and this has more than lived up to expectations.

We had to have a membrane and a latex screed and we used a professional fitter who provided the product (like Karndean but mainly used in industrial settings and a bit cheaper!)
