Exterior doors - oak veneer versus real oak

We're are putting in patio doors. We've had some recommended to us - bi folding oak veneer doors. They are about £900 less than real oak doors. Are we mad to consider them? We called the company and the man was very nice and knowledgable. They come with a ten year guarantee and he's said he's never had a situation where they peel or come off.

We've seen them in Wickes and they look really good.

Thoughts?

How long are you going to stay there? Oak will last for ever for ages more than 10 years.

I would probably go for proper oak but I'm funny like that.
