and feel very down that we haven't been able to move. We will probably try again in spring but have to face another winter of driving kids to school, living in a house that is too small and not in the area we want to be. In a way still feel in limbo as don't want to do major extension works to house as can't bear the thought we could be here forever.
Anyone else in the same boat? What ways have you found to cope?

Could you possibly rent it out and then rent somewhere else? I know of a couple of people who have done this. I know it's not ideal but could be a short term solution?

I have been In your boat for 2 years. Have a 2 bed flat and although we manage with 2 dds it's not ideal. I like the area but I don't drive and the bus routes are rubbish and all my friends and family live to far away to travel by bus. Feel trapped. Have considered renting out and renting somewhere else but am worried about been left with mortgage and rent.

Houses are selling BUT at low prices. if you really want to sell, you need to knock your price right down.
