wer emoving just after xmas into a smaller property on upside it will mean when things break eg hotwater/heating no more 3 week waits for Ll to fix but the main thing is that it is wheelchair adapted for me Grin

But dd and ds3 who are 8 and 6 are going have to share .ds3 has some sn more a like 4 year old and dd is not a girly girl .

But need ideas on what to do with their room it is not very big either .ds1 and ds2 will be sharing but they are easier as 17 and 14 and always shared

can not even switch them to what will be my room as it is the one with the floor lift in

You could choose a colour that suits both - green, yellow, primary colours depending on their taste - or white walls if you want to maximise space and then let them add their own touches like wall stickers near their beds.

You could try a stand alone screen of some kind that's light and doesn't take up play space, or an ikea expedit bookcase as a divider? Cabin beds to allow lots of storage underneath?

I would imagine good storage might be key to stop your DD being annoyed by her brothers toys all over her space, is there somewhere downstairs he could put a lot of his toys?

Up until last month all 3 of mine shared a room. Ds dd1 and dd2 it wasfine. They had a wall each, in their colour and with their own shelves, storage and bed. It can work fine ime. Enjoy your new home, smaller means less cost to heat too!!!

Thank you

Hmm will google the bookcase that may work ,ds3 can not have cabin bed as is not to steady with ladders ( has some physical disabilities )

Think hardest thing is I have not seen inside the house so not even sure how the room will work

Lambach how old was your dc when all shared . Think that's what's worrying me more

Ds1 and ds2 always shared but dd and ds3 never have wondering if there getting to old or if dd may end up embarrassed about having to share with her brother

I suspect next few years once ds1 left collage he leave home then ds2 planning on uni ( though he is hoping to stay local enough to live sf home ) he is Y10 now .so if he leaves home for uni dd be y8 so 11/12 would you say that's to old to be sharing

Smaller wise yep I'm looking forward to cheaper heating more do working heating

I like this ...the room works well together yet each DC has their own space. I like that the bedding matched the decor but it different.

Congrats on your new home!

thank you

i like that have ordered dd a cabin bed , older two boys have just ordered double bunk beds as they found sing;es quite small but not enough floor space for anything else

Think will make do with ds 3small bed for now and see how he goes
