opinions on Wickes takeaway kitchens

we are looking at cheap kitchens for our rental property so don't want to spend a fortune on a kitchen that probably won't be looked after very well.
we fully expect to have to replace every 5yrs or so.
Wicks have take away kitchens from £600 for 8 units. Colours seem nice although the insides look quite basic.
Has anyone bought the rockford or the galway?

we bought one of the fitted ones and it is fab so i would think most of their ranges would be good - we were impressed

We have used them and found the quality to be fine

My Wickes kitchen is 16/17 years old and in excellent condition (gloss white). I think it's indesructable.

thank you so much thats good to know although i think the takeaway cupboards are basic. You get what you pay for though and a kitchen for less than a grand minus sink and appliances seems very good!

they are quite good for the money and a standard size (Ikea are non-standard so more difficult to change)

Your fitter (or you) might like to consider Hanging Rail for the wall cabinets, instead of putting up two separate wall brackets for every cabinet, you scew this long steel strip to the wall, and the normal adjustable cabinet adjustable hangers fit it. You can move cabinets around, remove or replace them very easily, and of course they are all height-aligned.

It also means you have no need to drill holes in the wall where there are cables or pipes, since you only need a screw every couple of feet, so they can go into wall-studs or bridge over buried cables. They will accomodate slight unevenness in the wall.
