Knocking through a kitchen into a lean to

Has anyone done this on a conventional Edwardian or Victorian terrace, where the lean to is a bit shabby, and the kitchen is a bit narrow. I think it could be lovely, but not sure how much I could be looking at for costs and hassle. I wouldn't want to do it anywhere near top spec, but not clunky or cutting corners at all.

That is exactly what we did!

We had to have the lean to rebuilt with a glass roof and there were various building regs that had to be checked, but we are really pleased with the bigger kitchen. We have a worktop where the wall used to be with the washing machine and tumble underneath.

We had our windows done at the same time and I think the whole lot was around 20k
