12 volts is never enough...

I have a Bosch 12 V cordless drill. (Got it free with nectar points actually!). I'm now ready to move onto the big guns I think. Perhaps Makita or something?! It's just a bit weedy for all the never ending jobs around the house. Anyone with me on this one? Drill power and all that! (disclaimer, I still use 8 hour cream/highlight my cheekbones for what it's worth...)

I got the Argos own brand - Challenger I think it is - and it has been working fine for years and years. 12v cordless really wasn't enough!

Ah, I'll have a look at that. It takes ages and brute strength to drill a simple hole in a brick wall with mine, and the battery doesn't last!

I have a Site cordless, bought from Screwfix. It's made by Makita and uses the same batteries as Makita tools, although it's not as high quality and not as expensive. I bought it on offer complete with a case, fast charger and three batteries. It's a beast compared with my old Black & Decker drill. I can get through most walls with it using the hammer setting and I've only had to resort to the 240v drill for the most heavy duty work.

Biut anyway, at least it drills through masonry. I did buy bosch drill bits though as they're better than Black and Decker!
