I've just put my late parents' house on the market. The house is unoccupied and neither my brother nor I live nearby. The house is on a through road (not a main road). Obviously, the EA would like a board up but I'm worried about the security aspect - you can access the back of the house easily and the building insurance won't cover vandalism (or pretty much anything). Should I go for a For Sale board or are they unnecessary now with RightMove etc? The house has been largely cleared, so any photos on RightMove will confirm it as an empty house.
