I'm about to start redecorating my living room before my new sofas get delivered and I'm unsure what colours to use. We are having 2 conker coloured leather sofas and we have sheesham furniture with black ironwork on it that Dh definitely wont get rid of. Hmm
It's a north facing room and is painted deep red and stone at the moment. We have a wood floor in there as well. Can anyone help me tie everything in Please?

Well my personal preference is always white for the walls.

Thanks for your response overmydeadbody. It used to be white before I painted it last time but it made it quite cold in there. Maybe I should go with a cream rather than a white.

Homebase Toffee Cream? I have it in quite a few of our Northerly rooms and it's a nice gentle, warm colour. Tried to c&p it but failed - just google Homebase Toffee Cream.

Ooo that toffee is nice. We've got a cold looking room which didnt suit being white - we've painted 3 walls a cream colour (might have been antique cream but I cant really remember) and the fourth wall is an old gold colour. Its a lovely rich shade which is nothing like the sample on the Crown website. It looks great against the blackness of the wood burner so might lift your ironwork trim?

Cream but also a nice deep blue/teal colour on a feature wall somewhere. Will go lovely with your furniture and leather sofa Smile

I'll try that again!

Go down to picture midnight blue room

Just looked at the toffee cream mumblechum. I really like that, it's warm enough for that room I think. Will get a tester pot. Thankyou.
Just going to have a look at the crown website and Sarah's suggestion now.

Like the midnight blue too Sarah, think it might be to cool a shade for the lounge but I really like it, might have to find somewhere else for that!

Liking the old gold too follyfoot. Think I need to get some sample sizes ordered so I can see them in there properly. Thanks so much for your suggestions ladies.
