Removing paint from exterior walls.

We have just had an offer accepted on a house, which is painted white. Has anyone got experience of successfully removing it and returning the brickwork to its natural state? TIA

Ours is painted red... Builder said you put on some stuff that you can get in B&Q, & then pressure wash it off...? Can't remember the pertinent details!
