Hi, I'm trying to find someone to dig up our old poured concrete back yard and replace it with flagstones/patio. I've just come across mybuilder.com and wondered if anyone had used the website before with any success? TIA

Hi, I posted this question a month or two ago, and no one answered (so either they weren't reading at that moment, or most MNers haven't used it!). I did contact someone through the site, and his reviews seemed good, and he came and looked at the job, and then never even supplied us with a quote! I don't know why someone would spend their time to come and look and then not bother following it up; maybe he got offered a bigger and better job. But then I realised that I wasn't going to go online and put in a negative review. After all, this person now knows where I live and I hardly know them. So I wonder if others feel this way, skewing everyone's reviews towards the positive. I think it's better if you can find someone recommended by a local designer, or at least by someone you know.

We used it and got a really good guy to do our lovely bathroom, we're now collecting quotes for an extension through it
