Bathroom

Can anyone provide a rough estimate of how much a bathroom would cost?

Looking at replacing bath, sink, toilet, tiles and Lino with us doing painting.

We live in northof the country and looking at a simple b&q suite nothing fancy.

Any ideas would help the saving!

We got ours from B&Q about 4 years ago and I think it was around £3500 to £4000 - with about half of that cost on labour (ripping the old, avocado suite out, putting new WHITE suite with shower in, shower screen, tiling and tiled flooring). It wasn't an expensive suite.

Better start saving then! Wow! Didn't think it would be that much.

We also got ours from B&Q, a few weeks ago, one of their 'take away' suites, which cost around £330. We did the everything apart from fitting the new suite ourselves (tiling, flooring, painting, etc...), and luckily are friends with a plumber who did it at mates' rates. All in, when finished, it'll have cost around £1200. It is possible to do it on a tight budget, but you have to be willing to dp most of the work yourselves.
