Boiler Replacement

We're getting a new boiler next week and I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me how long I can expect it to take and what sort of mess there will be.

Trying to write a risk assessment so as much info as possible would be much appreciated! Thanks.

Well what are you replacing just the boiler unit or all piping etc vent and position?

Just the actual boiler unit is being replaced.

Mine took all day. They have to drain the system and refill it. You will need to keep children out of the room that the boiler is in as all the bits are out on the floor PLUS there will be a hose going through the house all day as my boilerman drained my system straight into the drain in the street.

Also they will be carting bits of metal and piping through the house from the old boiler. There will be soldering involved and wiring.

Umm ... is that helpful?

Very helpful thank you! Looks like we'll be better off going out for the day. Cheers!

Mine just took a day and was relatively pain free. It's near the back door anyway so it was out if our way.
