Does a protective coating for paint exist?

Just repainted the downstairs loo to discover the paint stains very badly every time it's splashed with water. We like the colour, so would prefer not to have to repaint with bathroom paint. My DH says there's no such thing as a varnish or protective coating you can put over paint but thought I'd ask here before I believed him. Wink

You could try this....

It is varnish though so not sure how it would go on over paint. We've had it on our kitchen table for 6 yrs and its as good as new.

The do diamond eggshell and matt paint too, but as you say you don't want to repaint...www.icipaints.co.uk/products/info/dulux_trade_diamond_matt.jsp
